Engagement photography is a great opportunity to capture and preserve the romance and quirky personalities of each couple in a stress-free and natural environment. While most people just think about the wedding day and how these photos need to be absolutely perfect, engagement photographs are just as important and cherished. There are some photographers that are even known worldwide for their engagement photos. Engagement photography is about extracting the most intimate and lovely moments that the couple share together before they become husband and wife. What is wonderful about engagement photography is that the engagement photographer focuses more on the fun-loving and care-free poses rather than rigid and safe poses.

A perk that comes along with engagement photography is that it gives the couple a chance to test out their chosen wedding photographer before their special day. For your wedding day you want a photographer that you can trust, have a good relationship with and a photographer that can produce beautiful and creative images.

Aside from a carefully chosen photographer for your engagement photography session, selecting a location is equally important. It’s essential that the photographer and couple discuss possible locations for the photo session that not only are a fun and safe environment, but also reflect the couple’s personalities. Some favorite locations include beaches, parks, forests, historical sites and downtown areas. For the nervous bride, choosing a location like the beach may be helpful in calming her nerves and allow the photographer to create captivating images. Engagement photos make for wonderful albums to surprise your fiancee with later.

The engagement session was a little different as balboa park was super busy on a weekend. Their wedding is set for August 21, 2010 in San Clemente, California and we are excited to photograph their special day. Jessica and Scott met at a Halloween party through their friends Fran and Torg where she was dressed as cotton candy and he was dressed as a monk. They have been together for over three years and love each other more everyday. Jessica is a professional dancer and Scott is an all-around guy who is very nice and great at snow boarding. Scott and I worked together for about five years back at Shiny Entertainment on games like Enter the Matrix and Path of Ne0. Below are some of our favorite photos from their engagement session.
